Alex is an electrician who works in underground mines in Africa, went from booze and chaos to 100km runs and cold showers, and once ran a marathon in Antarctica for the Black Dog Institute in memory of their sister.
Troy is the reason the show is listenable. He's the one getting talked into ultramarathons against his better judgement, and he just beat Alex by 20 minutes in his first 50K. Alex would like that struck from the record.
